66 Degree Change

There I was just minding my own business yesterday enjoying the weather (53 degrees) with my kids, when the sun sets and snow begins. We wake up this morning (-13 degrees) to this:

This is the same area as yesterday's picture, but from a different angle. I wasn't going out in this cold for a picture. Sorry fellow blog followers, I wanted to stay warm.

Who ordered this precip? Doesn't anyone know that we have big plans this weekend that involve some travel time on the parts of family members? Or do they care? I shoveled the walks last night at 7 and Grady did them again this morning at 5, and I was back out there at noon for the third round. Did I mention that we are now getting MORE snow? We'll be back out again shoveling this evening. It's kinda tough getting used to the double driveway again, plus the corner lot involves some work. I may be the toughest momma after this storm is over.

We've stayed inside today. I'm happy that I got the car cleaned yesterday and that I managed to get the garage reorganized from the Christmas mess so that we could put the suburban inside. It's forcasted to be minus 30 tonight. OUCH! I'm not looking forward to the gas or electric bill this month.

No flying updates yet. This weather has put a damper on my schedule. I have been studing the books and keeping an eye on the weather. I can't wait for spring.

Winter wonderland for sure!! Stay warm and cozy--it's a great time for a warm blanket and good book if you can convince the kiddos!!
