As I sit to type this post, Mr. Right Hand Man is running crazy in this cold basement; Mayor is trying to get Ring Leader down for a nap in the semi-reconstructed jail (needs to be cleaned and the light fixture needs to be put back up after the ceiling has time to dry); Doctor is in his office for a mandatory 30 minute quite time; our Beauty Queen is also on mandatory rest for 30 minutes in her princess room.
Now for a few updates:
Doctor has fallen very ill and has had to seek the advice of two other doctors. After two days of straight sleep and nights too, we convinced him it was time for a second opinion. They have concluded it is some sort of virus and a steroid was prescribed to reduce throat swelling so that he may continue to eat. This medication does a wonderful job of increasing hunger, but appetite is still very small. It is also keeping him awake more than the two minute spurts previously seen.
Right Hand Man has a yucky looking white spot on the tip of his tongue, which one doctor concluded was from trauma. Imagine that! We're supposing he must have bit it during one of his many and frequent heists. He's over energized and short tempered, which make for a loud child most of the time.
Ring Leader continues to terrorize the town. We spotted a large box at Costco today that I offered up as a "temporary jail" to mail out to the only jailer that offered up space, but she quickly refused. With those sweet brown eyes, it is so hard for me as sheriff to follow through with any sort of punishment. We need to hire a probation officer when the budget allows.
Beauty Queen continues with the drama...she's got a very good resume started for employment in that direction. Her current position as a student is going well, and she loves it. She can be the bestest helper every, and then turn into a terrorist in a heartbeat. We also need to hire a town therapist to figure that one out.
I'm way over booked and am hoping not to get fired. My job skills are not the problem, it's the fact that I am easily side tracked and often leave work undone to pursue my new hobby. SundaeShop is going great thanks to the major support of a dear friend. We continue to come up with new ideas, and the Mayor has also fallen into my sideline hobby. He's often found out in the garage cutting and sanding away on projects. He will come in and lay down the law when my patience run too thin.......I get loud and he knows it's time to get back to work.
So, until the budget is fixed by this newly elected "super" president, we will continue to chug along with what we have and be grateful for each and every day that we get to enjoy (even if there are days we feel like putting in our resignation letters).
Have a wonderful weekend.

sweet post...
Hope Stu is feeling better! Your hands are full and you continue to amaze me. I love all the items in your shop on Etsy! We've had a stressful day . . . attorney stuff. Kaitlyn is in bed already and I'm not going to be too far behind her . . . hopefully.
