Thank You Shout Out!

I just received a package in the mail today. I was thinking that it would be something for Macy's birthday, but it was for me! Here's what was inside:

....with this note:

"Since I'm not close enough to make you dinner and watch the kids, I wanted to do something!! I hope this is fun and makes your day brighter and hopefully you're back on your feet soon!! Love, Deana, Jeff and Kaitlyn"

How sweet is that? Thank you, thank you, thank you! She must have know that I was back at the sickness yesterday and was alone. Grady went to Wyoming for meetings, so I was left to transport kids to and from school by myself. I even stopped at Hardee's for lunch on the way to drop Stuart off since the lunch he offered to make himself consisted of crackers packed full of jelly! This was after he had helped himself to the Seven Up and the Kool*Aid and I had to mop up that mess. The kid kept himself occupied while I napped, but I had hell to pay when I woke up.

But, today is great, and I've been testing out my new saw. Here's what we've made so far:

Macy wants the huge candy corn for her teacher, and Stuart is sure that that brown thingy is a large chicken leg (actually, it will be the body of a turkey if things go as planned...the colored fingers are his feathers....I'll show you when I'm done!), and our mini pumpkins. We have lots of wood left to make more of them, but I've moved on to trying other things.

Since Myles is down for a nap, I better go get some other things done. Thank you, again, Deana for thinking of me and know that all of my kids were instantly sick with the desire to bust into those goodies. You did brighten my day. Now, if we could just find something to make Myles' day better, we'd be set! Have a great one!
