Macy's First Day of Kindergarten!

Well, the day that I have dreaded since we returned from Alaska has came and went. Macy had her first day of kindergarten today. It was short and sweet, and the parents were invited to stay for it. Here's a few of the pictures that I snapped during my travels with my daughter.

Walking towards the school from the parking lot.

In front of the school.

Playing on the Smart Board.

Recess!

Sitting at her desk, listening closely to what her teacher had to say. We packed her goodies into the bin and then placed them in the cubby.

Grandma stayed at home with the other kids, so it was just Macy and momma today! We had a little conversation because she wanted to tell the teacher that she was riding the bus or walking home. Both are next to impossible for her to do, but she did not want me to pick her up. I had to explain that I would have to drive to the bus stop to pick her up if she rode it, so she finally gave in and asked for the picture of the car to write her name on.

Tomorrow will be the tough one on me. I teared up a couple of times today, but I know that they will just flow out freely as I drop her off and don't get to go with her, but she is so excited that I know it will all be worth it. Now, if we can just get Stuart so excited about Preschool.

Yay for Macy! She looks so grown up! You'll be okay tomorrow...just keep thinking about how excited Macy will be to go!

(P.S. - I haven't posted pictures lately cause I'm having computer issues. The home computer keeps overheating after less than 5 minutes and this temporary laptop doesn't work right, either. Just typing this comment has taken me 5 minutes cause it keeps deleting and inserting random text like its posessed...bleh!! New laptop should be here next week!)
