Stinky, Yucky, Sleepy, and Busy Monday Already!

I do have some pictures to post from this past weekend, but I am upstairs cleaning up and on the laptop.  Grady and I were up all night with Fiona.  She woke up at 11 and puked until 6 this morning.  I did manage to get tons of the yucky bedding and other laundry done.  I limited her fluid intake  last night, but soon realized that even a teaspoon was just too much.  She even had some dry heaves going on.  It is such a terrible ordeal for these poor little ones.  There was nothing I could do for her and I had to keep telling her that she couldn't drink, even though she begged and begged for it. I did, however, find a recipe for the electrolyte fluid on the internet.  I wrote it down and taped it to the inside of my cabinet.  I fed it to her with the medication droppers by the teaspoon full and she kept it down!  Here it is if anyone wants it:  

ELECTROLYTE DRINK RECIPE

1 quart water (I used warm..thinking it would be easier on the tummy)

2 Tb sugar

1/4 Tb salt

1/4 Tb baking soda (or more salt if not available)

Pretty cheap compared to the $2-$3 a bottle for the store bought stuff.  It isn't flavored, but Fiona sure welcomed it with a smile.  It may have been that she was so thirsty or maybe the sugar was good for it, or the fever she has???

Well, I have been trying to clean more germies away and have been changing some pretty stinky diapers.  I am afraid that we have the rotavirus around here and will not be going anywhere for Easter if things don't clear up very soon.  Please pray for us.  I've convinced the older children it was very important to wash their hands and use the sanitizer often in hopes of staying healthy.
