As many of you already know, our washer croaked out on Sunday during a load of laundry. Fiona had an accident in the shower and it was all over the rugs and towels before I could get her to the bath tub. So.....we were forced to purchase a new machine. We've looked at them since we bought this house, but I kept saying that I wasn't going to buy when the ones we had were working just fine. And then Sunday came....
This morning the delivery truck pulled up just before 8 and I am now doing my first load in the new machines. We bought both because they were offering a nice discount on the pair. And, we could stack them which meant that I would have more space in the already small laundry room. So, here is my FIRST load. I have seven minutes to type this.
They dryer on top. Not a good picture, but if you've ever noticed the laundry room, there really isn't much space to move around.
Myles had a blow out on our bed this morning, so I am greatful that we have the larger washer now. I have to wash the pillowtop cover and it would have never fit in the old washer. Imagine me doing laundry at the laundromat with four wild ones running around???
Grady will be boarding an airplane to Denver for the rest of the week this afternoon. I am so glad that everything worked out timewise for this. I would have been a train wreck by Friday if I had to haul laundry....actually, we would be wearing dirty clothes I'm sure!
In other news, Macy wanted me to take a picture of her today. She was up and ready for preschool. She even did her own hair! Here's our big girl:
After preschool we will head over to sign her up for dance lessons which begin tonight. Wish me luck on this one. Four babies at a dance class....hmmmmmm....we'll have fun!

hey what kind of machines did you end up with and where did you buy them!! good for you...hope you love them!! i am sending good thoughts your way for this week of single-mom-hood.............
Nana, they are the same as yours I think. The Whirlpool Duet ht, big capacity? Anyway, we just watched Daddy's plane fly over the house. Thanks for the good thoughts, I may just need them all!
Yay for the washer! Let me know how you like it - ours should be here in a week or so!
Good luck this week, babe! I hope dance class is all its cracked up to be and more:)
Only a few Ashli vs. Machine today. I had a heck of a time getting the washer to spin out my pillowtop cover...if it can not get things balanced, it just give up and you have a soggy hunk of fabric left. Thankfully there is just a Drain/Spin cycle and I had to help get things balanced. The dryer takes longer than the 15 minutes that I've heard to dry. And, it doesn't work any miracles on king sized quilts either. You still have to remove, reposition, replace and restart. But, hey, only God works miracles!
Dance has been removed from our schedule. Miss Macy decided that she did not want to go. I'm not really sure what she was thinking, but we did not start it and probably won't until the next semester maybe. I am going to put the money away for her to try it later.
So....what's your overall opinion of the washer? Not the dream machine its cracked up to be...but is it better than the old style???
Sandy... the machines are great, there's just some changes that you have to learn to deal with....AND they use half the water..(not that you have to pay by the useage in Ten Sleep, but us town folks should see a difference) so we're helping conserve our resources, right?
Nice machines! Those should do giant loads and hopefully make "wash day" easier on Mom!
