Candy Train

Grady was called out to work this morning, so I decided to make a Candy Train with the kids after lunch. A group of ladies from our Ward went in together to purchase all of the supplies and it ended up only costing $4 for the entire kit; I had to make the icing though, but AllRecipes conquered the problem for me. Here are some pictures of it:
Pre-assembly prep work done by Stuart and Mommy. Macy was still trying to finish her lunch.
Decorating one of the many cars. They didn't even sample the candies unless I told them that there were extras.
And the finished train. It took a while and I was surprised that they kept the attention for it. They had a blast, and wanted to share it with their friends. Stuart is positive that they would "love to see it"!
I must be having a craving for some sugar, or am just enjoying this Holiday Season too much, but the babies are sure having tons of fun making all of the holiday projects. How did everyone like their Christmas cards? Macy & Stuart really liked making them for you all. I better go get Fiona to sleep. Have a great weekend!

I just showed KJ your trains and she said, "Mom, can I go to their house and do it?" She wants a candy train, too (I think Heather's would be a candy caboose, she would eat all the rest). Now I'm going to have to go come up with a Christmas art project so the kids don't try to run away to your house:)

We ate ours...immediately after naps were over (directly after train was finsihed was nap time), they broke into the thing. I can't blame them. Our Gingerbread house is not edible anymore, so why waste anymore good stuff?
