We spent the evening making snowflakes yesterday. We are using them as window decoration to kick off the Christmas season. After we had finished hanging them in the window, I asked the kids to find which ones were the same. They looked at the window in search, and then Grady said "no two snowflakes are the same". I had taken the opportunity to make a little lesson for them out of the fun. I explained that while no two snowflakes were the same, no two people are the same either. I explained to Stuart and Macy that they did not have to act like other kids for any reason. I wanted to read them the story, "I like Myself", but did not get around to it. I brought in Christmas books, and read five of them instead.
Here is a picture of Fiona at the dinner table. I made a make-shift high chair out of her old car seat and the extra dining chair until we get back to Worland to pick up the actual highchair. This one puts her at perfect level to stick her wide-open mouth at the edge of the table for the sweep. I was feeding her dinner last night while we were eating ours, and decided that my new job title was "Shovel Operator, or Dozer Driver". She was eating so much yesterday. She tricked daddy into a second breakfast fifteen minutes after finishing her first round (I was in the shower). Then, she ate macaroni and cheese with the kids at lunch, and had dinner plus some of our dinner. I hope that she is getting ready for a growth spurt, and not heading to the "pear" shaped body. She still hasn't slept much at night, but did get a short nap and a longer nap today! Cross your fingers for tonight.
Other than Stuart coming down with the hacking cough again, we have not been up to much more. We did attempt the sales on Friday, but I got overwhelmed with the crowds, and so we ventured out on Saturday for a few hours. We did find Santa (twice), but Grady refused to have the kids' pictures taken with a Santa that had a blue shirt and no red coat on. We're going to write letters instead of visiting him. I'll share them later. Have a good night!
