We made it to Church today, after missing two weeks. The kids got tons of goodies, it must have been for halloween. Stuart came home with a green recorder from Nursery. Macy came home with two bags of goodies from Primary and Sunbeams, and a Happy Birthday pencil. They are gradually getting the hang of a new group of friends. Does anyone know if Stuart will be able to join Macy in Sunbeams in January? He will turn three on January 16.
After Church, Grady had to go work again, so I got the babies down for a nap after Uncle Jim and Auntie Robin left. I managed to get the front yard raked and mowed while they slept! I was amazed that Miss Fiona didn't wake up and roll off of the couch.
We carved our pumpkins tonight before dinner. Stuart picked the Smokey The Bear pattern from Great Grandma, and Macy picked the ghost off of the internet. They turned out pretty cute. Daddy carved a regular Jaggety-Lantern. The picture is pretty dark, but you get the point. I am heading off to get ready for bed. An early night may be just what I need. We're expecting snow tomorrow, so we may post some pictures of the kids playing in it tomorrow if it amounts to much. Good Night.

It was good to talk to you today! Your pumpkins are awesome! Ours are a little lame...Jake "carved" them with the kids while I was at scrapbook night. I use the term "carved" loosely, as the pumpkins were so thick, he could barely cut through them. He ended up just sticking an apple corer in there and making some holes for the face. They didn't even hollow them out, so they look like they have brains sticking out of them...anyway, I'm very impressed with yours:)
It was great to see you guys last week. Or was it the week before already? Glad to hear you all had such a fun time on the mountain. You have some really cute pics posted now! Stuart and Macy will have to take Natlaie to that park when we come up in a few weeks. The plan is still to be up there the first weekend in December, but I will go up alone with NataLie Nov. 18 to pick up my mom, so maybe we can swing by or do lunch. Hope all is well and that you're enjoying the snow...we just got our first dumping of it down here today. It's so beautiful. Some days when we're snuggled together warm inside it's hard to ignore how blessed we are. Hugs to all, the Tharps
WHAT? You didn't clean out the insides? Roasted pumpkin seed are the best. You are definately missing out. Jess...we'd love to do lunch or something on the 18th, if we're here. We have to go paint the TS house some weekend, or maybe just over Thanksgiving. Give me a call, we LOVE visitors!
Yeah, let me repeat, "I was at scrapbook night"...apparently Jake had a "get 'er done" attitude about the pumpkins this year and didn't bother with the first essential step...I guess we won't be putting candles in them this year:)
