Happy April Fools (a day late)....

We started off the morning with tons of silly jokes that Stu made up and cereal with blue milk. Yup, that was a hit! Even the yogurt eaters needed cereal after they saw it! We were off to school and then home for a bit of play outside while I prepared dinner.
Steamed carrots (main course), raspberry chocolate fluff-fluff with caramel drizzle for the top (dessert).

Oh, the kids thought that they were in heaven! Stu even spouted out, "if you don't want yours, I'll eat it". Well, until they tried it. Macy thought that the raspberry topping tasted a bit odd, and Stu said that the caramel topping tasted like gravy. Then it hit him....it was mashed potatos and gravy! We had Shepherd's Pie in an actual pie crust and pan! I had them all fooled!

Myles didn't mind much! He loved the red potatoes (until he threw them everywhere...then I decided red was not really the best color for that...I had to scrub the grout clean!) That was the best I did for the jokes, but convincing Macy that the meatloaf was actually homemade chocolate deserves a blue ribbon. That girl has the best nose, and I know that she could smell that meat.
After a busy night last night (we made 40 Octupus's Garden snacks for school today) and an even crazier morning. THANKS MYLES! (that's a joke...he spilled Macy's cereal all over and then proceeded to smear it, so he had a bath; Macy needed me to brush her hair; Fiona stripped naked for a bath that she did not get and had to be re-dressed; Stu and Macy needed a bowl of food; the bathroom was very, very wet from Mr. Myles' bath; and I had to find a box to put those jello goodies in for school.....all 25 minutes before departure) It was a great smile that filled my face to see this when I went to let the dog in....

...so I sent it to Daddy, who is on his way to Basin today!
