Delays, delays, delays

So I get this call first thing today from Grady stating that they have overbooked his flight out of Chicago by 50 people. 50 PEOPLE! Can you belive that? Anyhoo...they were offering a free round trip ticket for anyone that volunteered to wait for this evenings flight. I told him to go up and say that he needed TWO round trip tickets from Billings to Anchorage and he'd stay. Nope, only for the lower 48 came over the loud speaker while I was saying that. Go figure. So later he calls me and says that they are just landing in Denver and his connecting flight is to take off in 25 minutes, so he'll let me know if they make that connection. A few minutes later he calls and says that all flights to Billings have been CANCELLED! What the heck? They can get in tomorrow night. So, I offered to drop the kids in Wyoming and drive down to pick them up. Then he said that they could get into Worland, so I offered to drive down there. After many, many more calls, he will either make it on the stand-by to depart in 12 minutes (doubtful), or I will be picking them up in Cody tonight. Can anyone say ROADTRIP? Oh, and things just get better. We have one piece of siding to replace, and one couch to move in and then I will be set to get this house out onto the market......and he gets to work in Wyoming for three days next week. Will things ever go as planned again?

So there you have our Saturday. Well, except for the fact that the 3 olders got to attend a primary activity this morning. Myles went shopping with momma and vacuumed out the car. We played outside and I painted the main traffic area on the deck again. Hopefully I can get the white touched up on the trim pieces outside too. Have a good weekend.
