Let's see now......I'm leaving the placemats up to Jasey for Sundaeshop. I tried my hand at it, and now have a new set of reversible placemats for my house. I do love them, but I am not a very good sewing momma. They are gud nuf fer my haus, but not to sell! Here's the only two that I have completed. I gave up to blog about it...imagine that!
Yup...the patterns are way cute, and the mat itself could be way cute, but my lines are all over the place and since I was cheap, I used fleece in the center as my batting and ended up cutting it a bit too small (on a few) with not enough extra to recut, so I stretched before ironing in place with the fusible stuff. Could get way interesting after washing....I know.
The kids were in bed by seven! When Grady isn't home, they get very bored with me and are so ready (so was I), so down they went without a fight! He's staying in Powell for work. He was heading home just to turn around and go back very early in the morning, so I talked him into buying a new set of clothes and necessities and just staying there. So much safer.....and the day was pretty well, so I thought that I could handle it. Needless to say....meltdown time started stortly after that telephone conversation so they all took a tub and we read stories for a bit. Now it is ME time, and I'm enjoying it. Have a great night!

I love them! I think you did an awesome job! Enjoy your ME time . . . you deserve it! I'll talk to you soon! I think the Trombley's need to move to AK and bring Jasey's family with them!! I miss you tons my friend!
Hey, those are cute! Love the fabric! Here's an idea (I do this to edge scrapbook pages when I want to outline something with a pen but don't want to take the time to measure and make it straight!). Purposely sew along the edges in a wavy/uneven pattern - but TWICE along each edge. The two lines will overlap (it doesn't have to be an even overlap) and it will totally look like you did it on purpose! If you have any embroidery stitches on your machine (or you could buy buttons or something to sew on), you could even add little snowflakes or something along the lines, too. As long as the lines stay smooth - no weird angles - it'll look cool! I swear, I'm the queen of lazy crafting:)
