We're LOST!

I took a few photos to show you, but found a few others to add. Here's Myles the other day being a hambone! He got ahold of this beanie that I made, and had a hayday! The picture says it all...Macy is officially on her second week of school today. We've had some help in entertaining ourselves without her, but it is now completely up to US! Grandma Rose left on Monday morning, so we have had to get up and get ready with Macy and then all load up to take her to school and pick her up. The traffic isn't much fun on this end of town either time of the day, so we've been trying out some new routes to see which is faster. I have to turn on the movie just to keep the kids quiet as I try to make my way through it. We MISS YOU Macy!
Here's the latest attempts at entertainment for the middle two. They have been begging for TV. We have some Scooby Doo movies that we watch, or else it's just the good ole cartoons.
We are also enjoying some books, but it is hard to read with Mr. Myles crawling all over and stealing the books from us. Do you remember these books, Deana? Everytime that we turn the corner and can see the school, the kids get all excited and start screaming, "There's Macy's school!" It's a hoot to see them so excited to see each other again. Sure beats the fights that I had to put out all day long.
I also have some entertainment of my own to get done. We have a box of peaches and pears to can. The peaches are SOOOOO ready, that I need to do them TODAY! Yikes, I'm currently hoping that Grady makes it home early enough to help with either canning, or keeping track of the kids. The pears have a bit before they're ready, so this canning stuff is taking over the kitchen!
Well, there you have our life in nutshell. We are going to get the camper tonight to get it charged up for this weekend, and then Grady starts Scouts up again at 7. My life has gone from vacation wonderland; to child assistance, laundry maid, and a dinner cook with the wonderful visitors; to a messy house with laundry that needs to be done and put away; to canning supplies taking over; to "can I keep up with this schedule that has been handed to me?" I'm KNOW that I can, but it is taking lots of coffee to get up in the morning right now. I keep daydreaming about having a nanny. Oh, yah, I AM the nanny!

I hope everything goes well for you with the new routine and all. I could help so much if you lived here! Your canning is nmaking me so jealous! Sandy, The last batch is outside on the burner now. It took so many hours this morning that I only did half and ended up with six quarts. Grady was to help me tonight, but scouts ran late, so I did them all by myself...pat..pat! It's not as much fun doing this alone. The best was when we steamed up that small apartment with four little ones running wild. I'll remember it forever--you're a great teacher!

Wish I could have stayed to help with the fruit. I miss you all so much, It was such a great visit, it just went by too fast. Stu will be the next to head out the door for pre-school... Good thing you're driving a hybrid now ! Love you, Momma Rose

We got some really yummy peaches this week from Jill's brother's tree in California. They are way better than the ones we got in Washington earlier this summer. Cute pics of the kids. Where did you have them done? I like the new look of your blog- makes me think I need to get a little more creative. Still no baby news. Have a good weekend.
