Megan and Elijah came to visit us while we were at Deana's house. They drove to Alaska and camped out the entire way up there! Megan started work as a camp cook for a hunting outfit the day that we left. This is her third year doing it. Elijah just loves going with her.
We enjoyed a hike to Thunderbird Falls with them. We did not take the strollers expecting the path to be rough, but after we packed the babies, we realized that they would have worked wondefully.
A few days later, they came over to let the kids play together. Deana had ran the sprinkler for our kids to run through earlier and it made this wonderful muddy place for some fun.
As you can see, they had a blast. We had muddy handprints on everyone's shirts and had to hose them off when they were done. Stuart wore his shirt again yesterday, and the handprint was still on the back. I guess that Alaska mud doesn't wash out very well.
They also enjoyed a pile of gravel to play in. Deana and her parents had bought some outdoor toys for the kids, and all of them ended up in that pile. Days of fun were had there.
