The Letter D...

D is for Dandelions. I have been getting so may bouquets of them from my children lately. I actually used to hate these weeds. After this spring, I have learned to look at them as beautiful flowers, especially when the bouquet is brought in by three tiny hands. It means so much to me that my children love them and love to pick them for me. Hearing Fiona say, "Petty Flowers" and bend over to pluck one up for me makes my heart melt. We put them in a cup of water for the day. I've found that if I allow them to sit much longer, they begin to smell funny. This brings me to another idea. Does anyone know how to make a Dandelion Crown? I think that it would be a fun thing to do with the girls if the sun ever shines in our Big Sky again. I want pictures of them showing one off. If you know how, please, Please, PLEASE post the directions in my comments. I promise that I will share a picture of the beauties with you all.
I need to go get my scrapbook things in order. It's that time of the month again, and I have become so disorganized with the stuff, that I need to give some time back to it. I spent an hour uploading pictures to start Fiona's tonight. The dads are all gathering at our house with the kids for a BBQ and some fun while we mommas are having our time! Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to share the crown directions.

Looks like spring up there. I was hoping to make a trip up to Billings with my friend Mandy next Thursday, but I have to do a radio show for the cowboy carnival that morning and she has to leave early for a doctor's appointment. Maybe sometime in June...
Anyway, tell Macy we like her hair. We haven't decided on Beckett's middle name yet. It will likely be Lee after Grandpa Chauncey Lee(then he'd be BLT!) or Daniel simply because I love that name. Have a good weekend.

As much as I would love to claim that dandelion picture as my own, I swiped it from the internet. I was looking for one of the crown, but had to settle. AND, Grady would die if our yard had that many in it!
