How can something so SWEET turn so SOUR in a moment's time? Before I continue my day, I have to post this short story about our dear little Belle. This all started fifteen minutes ago, it was time to get dressed. Myles had a fresh diaper and was dressed, and Macy was changing into fresh pajamas (PJ party at school today for the letter P). Even Stuart was dressed, amazingly he came away from the cartoons and changed without a fuss today. Fiona had a stinky in her diaper, so I gathered clothes and laid her down to change her. I no more than got that yucky diaper opened up and she started throwing the famous McElhinny fit, screaming, "I don't want to!" at the top of her lungs. She was kicking, turning and arching her back. Man-O-Man was it the fight of my life to change a diaper. It took every muscle that I had to spare my carpet from the dark stuff. I tried everything I had and did manage to get it changed without a mark on the carpet, but I was sweating at the end. She didn't even want me to put on clothes. I managed to get that done, and then had to place her on the couch and take a breather. I knew at that moment how mothers lose control. I was so MAD. After I threw out the stinker, I went back to the couch where Fiona was sitting trying to catch her breath. Macy had ran upstairs and brought down her cup thinking that would help the situation. I picked up Fiona and apologized for getting so mad, she just wanted to snuggle. Back to the precious and loving FeeBee we all enjoy. WOW!
Well, I'm gonna go get started on laundry. I hope you were all laughing at us with this one. My, how I can forget some things. I know I've been through that before, but am sure that today was my first time fighting one for a new diaper. Who knew Mothehood would take so much from your memory?

Boy, oh, boy - gotta love 2 year olds! Josh's latest thing is folding his arms, stamping his foot and saying, "I don't WANT...(whatever it is)". Right now he's pitching a fit because I took the scotch tape away from him. Good times:)
Wow I feel for those moments with any mother....I have Lil Miss Drama Queen "herself" with major freak out skills!!! It was quite bad a few weeks ago, she seems to have calmed herself for now!
Patients, Patients, Patients....is the key I use, Gotta love them!!!
Love all u guys and miss you all!!
What a story . . . oh the things I have to look forward too! I hope the rest of yoru day is much better! We're off to a pedicure for pictures on Saturday, then a hearing screening and then to Anchorage for fingerprinting and a background check to get this adoption finalized!! It's gonna be a long day for sure! We got several inches of snow yesterday! I miss the 40+ degree weather from prior!! COME ON SPRING!!
Oh, lovely aren't they? We had one of those last night. Natalie has used going potty before bed as a stall tactic, and after 10 minutes of sitting and no going, I told her she had a good try but we would try again in the morning. Well, that is not what she wanted to hear because she knew she would have to go to bed! After about 15 minutes it was over and we rocked peacefully to sleep. I think it's important to do what you did to calm down afterward and admit we are also sorry for getting mad. I try to just ignore her, but it's so hard sometimes! I got a little angry and appologized while we rocked. Anyway, we feel for you down here, too! I can't wait to deal with it with more than one at a time...
