Well, upon entering to post about my exciting trip to Albertson's, I was informed that this is my 200th post! WOW! I can't believe that I've rambled on that much. Anywhoooo, here's the real reason for the post:
GO to the grocery stores! I have been so stuck on buying everything at Wal*Mart since it is easier for one person and four children, that I have forgotten about what great bargains are offered at the actual grocery stores. We went to visit a friend who is helping out with a new store...Stuck Up!, a vinyl letter store that a gal in our ward just opened. Great gifts and other ideas inside...plus I thought that they were very reasonable on the pricing too. It on Grand, across from Makenzie River Pizza (Rehberg area). Well, we just ran across Grand to the Albertson's to pick up some of the groceries on my list (that we don't buy at Costco). We wandered down the baby isle to find food on clearance for 12-14 cents a jar! That's right, I stocked up. While loading the cart, some guy said that they had diapers on clearance up the isle away and he had loaded his cart with them. When we got there, he must have bought all of the size we needed for Myles. We found one last bag at $3.74 for the "mega" pack!. We also picked up some Dora Easy Ups for the same price. Grady and Stuart went back out after dinner to the other area Albertson's stores and picked up all of the rest of the ones available that we could use. That was the best ending to the day!
We have a couple of friends that have girls a month older than Fiona. I called them to let them in on the sale. One actually said the following to me, "Oh, well, we don't use them yet". I thought, "OK, we have little girls that are 2, and they will be potty training very soon. You have a huge room for food storage that may never be used, but you don't plan ahead for the next four months?". BUT, I just said, " Well, I just thought that I'd share the news with you since you can save over $12 per bag", and said my good bye. 1 Anyway, I got a great laugh out of it and just had to share it with everyone.
Well, Myles has found the keyboard, so I'll leave you with that giggle. Have a a great day!
