Grady BBQ'd up some chicken breasts (and hot dogs for the kids) for dinner tonight. Macy picked out pears and pineapple, Stuart and I sliced some potatoes to bake french fries and made some pasta, and Grady baked some blueberry muffins for dinner. I thought that we would have tons of leftovers, but we have a tiny bit of pineapple, some muffins (for breakfast) and I threw out 3 wedges of potatoes! I am feeling like a stuffed turkey right now.
We had a beautiful day here and the kids were out playing in the backyard. Fiona was very upset that she could not be outside this evening on the "tantine" (trampoline). It was great to have my husband around for a complete weekend (he had to work Saturday).
I also just received a call that I won a prize from the MATE show. I think that the gal said it was the Sea Salt Scrub from Arbonne. I loved it when I tried it out, and Macy kept going back for more of it. I am excited to have it delivered on Thursday. We picked up some samples of their baby products and will try them tomorrow in the bath.
I have also contacted a Hutterite. For those of you that don't know about them, they are German folk that live in colonies all around the western US and Canada. They live with very little influence from the outside world. I flew over a colony last spring...that was the first time that I had heard of them. We are thinking about purchasing some food from them. They sell veggies, breads, pies, etc., at the Farmer's Market downtown in the fall, but I have also heard that we can purchase meat. Since they farm and ranch for themselves, I think that we could get some quality product from them. And maybe even a few tips on growing and preserving for ourselves. I'm excited to get ahold of the colony close to here.
I need to take Macy out to purchase some hooks for her new curtains. Have a great night.

Congrats on your win! It's always fun to win something! Take care and keep in touch. I told Jeff he needed to email you guys. It might be tomorrow. He is still at work today and has been there since before 5am and probably won't be home much before midnight. . .lots of patients today!
Fun on your sea scrub! That'll be fun! Let me know how things go with the veggies/meat - -looks like a good place to "shop"!
