Farewell Ed...

I went to check on the status of Ed's food and water this afternoon, and found him on the bottom of the cage. I had to break the news to the kids that Eddy had gone to heaven. It is the hardest thing to do. I cried my eyes out while I was cleaning up the cage. It is so hard to explain to the babies what happened when I have no clue what happened. I just told them that he went to heaven, what else can I say? I did remove him from the cage before they realized anything, so they did not see him. I don't think that I can have anymore animals after these. It's just too hard to part with them. I already miss his whistle and his excitement when we would go up to the cage saying "EddieMundo". What a beautiful bird he was.
