After a quick thunderstorm, we went out to the backyard today to play. I guess that everyone was needing some time off from the unpacking. The kids picked out this "swimming pool" at Target today for their yard. Unfortunately, the yard is so sloped that we had to prop the back up just to keep the water from flooding down the hill. Macy and Stuart had a blast with it, but Fiona was not so impressed with the sprinkler feature.
She enjoyed the overflow splashing up and down the yard until I turned the hose off and then she ventured into the pool area. It took a few minutes, but she did eventually sit in the water.
It's a pretty neat set up, but took alot of hot air on my part. I promised to have it ready for them if they napped, so I had to sit upstairs and blow to my heart's content. I did manage to achieve the goal, although I was unsure of it at the beginning.
We'll see just how long this thing lasts, I have some wild beach bums on my hands. We may try the front yard tomorrow since it is a little more level. Either way, the babies told their dad that they played at Trombley Beach today and really had a blast doing so.
I don't know if you can tell from these photos, but Stuart managed to get bit by something last night (I think on our walk) that has his left arm swollen to twice the regular size between the elbow and the wrist. I have him on a Benedryl schedule right now with anti itch cream to try to knock it down. If anyone has an idea on what to do about this rock hard lump, please let me know. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as much as my babies.

That looks like so much fun! And what a beautiful lawn! You blew that thing up yourself??? Like, no air pump or anything? I would have given myself an asthma attack!
As for the bite...if what you're doing doesn't knock it out, I'd call the doc -- just to make sure he's not allergic to something (like a bee or wasp or something)
what ever happened with macy's bites??? darn it that both of them seem allergic....and your eye, too....!! i just thought....maybe you are coming here tomorrow??? when are you having the next test???--i bet it was nice to leave the kids with sandy--i'm so glad she could come and help you
