Oooooops!

Well, Grady just realized last night that he will be on call over Thanksgiving. We we planning to head home for the long weekend, and get our TS house painted. We now have to figure out how to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner here and head home THIS weekend to paint that house. We will be back on Sunday and go to Justin's house trying to round up some single pilots that may be here for Thanksgiving. I told Grady that I was not going to cook up everything that goes with the Thanksgiving meal if it were going to be only he and I. Macy & Stu don't eat enough to count really. I hope that we can find someone to be here with us. I'm excited to try this, but will be in panic mode when it gets closer. It's my first time to cook a turkey. Any hints would be welcome here!

We'll miss Nana, Poppy and Carly as they will be headed to Salt Lake City for the weekend, and then to Washington for Thanksgiving. We're pretty lucky that they come up quite a bit so we don't "forget" what they look like. Grandpa and Grandma will be home, so they will keep the babies for Grady and I to paint....and then they will be up here for shopping in two weeks! We're VERY excited for them to come see our "borrowed" house.

I better be getting this place picked up so that we can have a semi-clean house for the Zent's to come. I just read that they are coming tonight AND tomorrow. I hope that we can be ready for them, I've been a little lazy in the house work. Fiona B is not sleeping well through the night, and I am paying for it during the day, so I am feeling sorry for myself and lounging around. Time to get moving.

Hope to hear from everyone.....if they're reading this anymore. I've been a little low on the comments, so I just wonder if you are all burt out on it already. I hope not because I am copying this to WordPerfect and using it as my journel since I write here more than there. Have a wonderful sunshiny day!

Cooking a turkey isn't bad -- just don't cook it with the stuffing in it, get one with the pop-up timer on it, and make sure you read the instructions on it ahead of time so you know how long it will take:)

We are coming up tonight, but we're staying at Jake's grandpas, so we still won't see you guys until tomorrow morning - the kids can't wait!!

Hey--your turkey will turn out great--they are hard to screw up. I like to put a stick of butter inside the turkey. It makes it really juicy! I also rub the outside of the turkey with butter and then it turns a beautiful golden brown! Other than that, if you have a turkey fryer, that is our favorite way to do turkey now. You inject it with whatever spices you want and fry it in peanut oil--it's awesome. DO NOT INJECT IT WITH ANYTHING WITH SUGAR IN IT OR IT'LL TURN BLACK BEFORE IT'S DONE!! (We learned this the hard way)
