Concert & Sandbox Fun

Today my FIVE children are out in the sandbox making a huge sand pile with a twist. They have flooded it with water and are having a blast! I'm thinking that they will all need a shower tonight just to get the stuff off of them. It's a cooker out and they have found some shade to enjoy.

Friday night was the BIG concert of my lifetime. It was great. REO Speedwagon was my favorite. I wish that I could have taken the camera in to get some good shots to share, but they were not allowed. Luckily for me, my hubby took in his phone and managed to get a few. They are not the greatest, but I stole them off of his facebook to share here.

.38 Special was awesome!

Styx. I didn't know many of their songs, but the show was great and the keyboard player played backwards sometimes! I could have soaked up many more hours of this fun, but my ears took a while to stop ringing when I went to bed, so I am sure that they thanked me for only 4 hours of the loudness. I wish that he would have uploaded some REO for me to share, but you all know how great they are and I know you can only imagine what fun I had.
Have a great week!

ByeBye Curls....

Stuart has his daddy give him the summer haircut. Myles watched the entire time and wanted his cut too. I almost cried.

He sat so still and listened so well.

And, this smile made it all better for me!

He doesn't really look like the same child I sent into the bathroom.
He looks BIG now.

Kindergarten Graduation

We managed to get through the Graduation ceremonies without Myles running out into the middle of it like he did with the program. Macy was awarded a Book It package for completing all six months of the program. She also received an award for perfect attendance during the third quarter. Finally, she received a "diploma". I video taped the entire program, but it will be fun to watch because Myles and Fiona kept bumping into me. I was called up for volunteering to help in the class and received a gift and certificate. That's two awards I got from her school. It was a fun day, but it was also a sad one. We will miss this school next year. It is such a great place for the kids to learn. Here's a few photos for you to enjoy.

Today is the last day of school. I may have another post of good news for you all to read later. Keep praying and your fingers crossed for us. Have a Happy Friday!

Graduations Everywhere!

We've been busy this past few days. We signed a contingent offer on our house a few days after Mother's Day, so please pray with us that her house sells soon. We headed down to Wyoming after Stuart's school carnival last Saturday to attend Grady's baby sister's graduation. While there, we took a look at a few houses and have made an offer on one. So, again, please pray that things work out for us. We all started with a terrible head cold on Saturday and ended up missing the Graduation ceremonies on Sunday since Fiona was asleep and we did not want to wake her. We made it back fairly late on Sunday. Here's the Grad and her man. She is heading to South America this summer for exchange student stuff, so we have to get some visits in.

Monday was a scorcher out, so we invited Macy's friend over for some sprinkler fun. The filled the sandbox up with water and jumped on the trampoline with the water. It was fun. Our neighbor boy who has DS came over to join in too.

Stuart's preschool graduation on Tuesday. Myles fell asleep early that morning and didn't wake up until it was time to attend, so we were late. I managed to walk in the door just as he receieved his award. He came running up and said that he thought we were not coming. Poor boy. Here he is with his buddy showing off the goods. Macy's kindergarten graduation is this afternoon, so I had to get a post in before it became a novel post. So, I am heading over to post some Etsy things, and then will try to get Macy's photos up later. Myles is asleep, so I better get what I can done.

Myles, Myles, Myles...

Myles officially went poo in the big boy toilet today.....but not before he made many, many messes of it elsewhere. He has been pulling off perfectly clean diapers telling me "poop". I have tried to sit in on the toilet to do the business, but he never does. Today, he came down with a handful of wipes smeared with the stinky stuff saying, "poop" and handing it to me. Like I wanted it! I was in the process of picking up six games that he had spread all over the basement floor. Up the stairs we ran to find it on the tiled floor. He had left a little trail of rabbit turds on the carpet that he had not gotten to cleaning up yet (thank goodness!) I put a diaper on him and got out the clorox wipes to clean the mess. As soon as I was done his bare bum was running around again. I picked him up and sat him on the toilet telling him that I woudl give him some candy if he went. He just kept saying "poop". When he was done, I wiped him (because he told me to) and he really did go! Now, if we could just communicate this BEFORE the messes, we would be in business!
edit: As I type this post, he ran down with another wipe full of poo and handed it to me. He ran back upstairs to get more and met me in the garage as I was picking up more. What am I going to do with this kid?

Moosical & Carnival

We attended Macy's spring concert on Friday afternoon. She played the part of a chicken with all of her classmates. Here's a photo of our clucker! Afterwards, we ran through the carnival that was in town. Fiona was in love with the helicopters. Well, I hope it was the helicopters and not the man running them.

Macy's favorite was this swing one called the YOYO.

She and Stu went on this dragon rollercoaster one. I love the looks on their faces!

Myles tried out the helicopters and the cars. I think that this picture tells you all what he thought about them.

And, I took one ride with Stuart on the Mean Machine. It was fun for both of us.

We had a fun weekend. We have held open houses both days with a pretty good turn out today. That's it for now. Happy Mother's Day.

I'm Going to a Concert!

My wonderful husband and four children bought me tickets to my first concert for Mother's Day. This is really going to show my era of growing up, but I get to go see REO Speedwagon, Styx, and .38 Special in concert at the end of the month!Totally Awesome......Totally 80's....Totally LOVE it!
Remember that time we purchased tickets for Nickelback and couldn't find a babysitter? Well, our neighbors said that they should be around for this date, and if they are not....watch out grandma and grandpa and nana and popi....I may bring them down for a slumber party.
I figure that if I don't get to one while we are living this close to the place, I may never see more than John Michael Montgomery at the county fair.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day. I have mail to get out to all of my mothers, but it will be late since it is not out yet. Enjoy your special day!

I'm a Slacker...

We have been busy as heck around this place. The camera is stitting on this desk, so I have no pictures to share, but thought that I'd give you all a run down.

Grady: He has been working like a crazy man. Driving to Wyoming most of the week and then home to help me clean and parent. Poor guy called sleeping in staying in bed until 6:45 on Saturday morning last week.

Ashli: Still playing taxi around here. We have music concerts, carnivals, field trips, PTO duty, programs and parties (birthdays, graduation, and end of the year) for the next three weeks and then summer is officially here for us. I'm looking forward to the break. I have been trying really hard to keep this house clean since Grady thinks that he can show it on a moment's notice. Making five beds everyday and trying to vacuum on a regular basis. I'm still very tired from the meds, but they've kept the major panic attacks under control.

Macy: Lost her second tooth on Sunday. (See, I never even posted about the first one, and still have to take a picture of her hole before the new ones come up further) Momma pulled this one! She is doing gymnastic moves like crazy and enjoying the warmer weather.

Stuart: Loving the cartoons and has to be forced to go outside to play. He'll be lost when preschool ends. We made some birdies for his silent auction part of the carnival and he has a few field days planned.

Fiona: She's still managing to make it up to the side of my bed everynight to sleep. She is trying hard not to have her hair brushed and watch Scooby Doo all day. She wants to lose a tooth and shows me on a regular basis how "lose" they are. She's a big girl and I can not call her my baby anymore.

Myles: Feeing better and back to his normal self. His hair is getting so long that it feathers back when brushed on top, so he has offically been nicknamed "Tiny Tim" because he reminds Grady of my dad! He's still busy and has ruined an entire box of Bisquick and Apple Cider mix by tossing them all over the floor. He can't keep his hands off of anyone, so the kids have been separated from him in the car.

So, there you have it. We may have a showing today, and we have lowered the price. I want this over. Grady has a birthday tomorrow! I better go get lunch packed. We are on recess duty today so that the teachers can have a long lunch together! Have a wonderful week.

Whatcha Doin?

We enjoyed a mostly relaxing day yesterday. We planned to go to church, but Myles was sick. The kind of sick you don't deal with anywhere but home. We caught up on some work stuff and relaxed. I had a 3 hour nap with Fiona! Our neighbors (the ones that we went camping with) came over for some yummy Alaskan King Salmon. We brought out the scrapbooks to share and had a great time visiting about that wonderful trip.
Macy woke up with sore legs and not feeling well, so we are going to have another day of lounging here. She's had a cough for weeks now, and everyone else is picking it up too. I love the lazy days...I can nap. I really hope that I can get used to these meds soon and sleep at night when I'm supposed to!
Have a snuggly warm day.

We Made It Home....

Well, we made it home late Friday night. It was a very short trip with lots of time in the car. We left Tuesday night in hopes of beating the storm....and we drove out of it after Butte. It was nearly 4 am when we arrived in Wenatchee. Wednesday was spent relaxing and catching up on sleep, and then early Thursday we were on the road again for the west side. We made it back over that evening and then headed out mid-Friday for home. Saturday we spent the day relaxing a bit and gearing up for the open house Sunday. It was beautiful here, so the kids and I spent the time at the park and eating ice cream. We had a few turn out, and there were nearly 100 open houses yesterday. No sell yet, but I'm praying. Here are a few of the pictures that I took to share. I should have taken more, but I was a tired momma. I forgot, so the photos uploaded backwards...

Eating bubbles at Auntie Jane & Uncle Steve's house.

Lots of visiting with family!

More bubble fun! They sent the kids home with these awesome animals that blow the bubbles and we have had tons of fun with them.

Popcicles!

We met Afton...he's a cute and so sweet!
I missed photos of the grandparents, and the great grandparents. Hopefully we make it back out later this summer to enjoy Grandma's pool. Thank you all for the fun, food, and spoiling us!

We are heading out to Washington tonight or tomorrow (depending upon weather) to attend the funeral of Grady's Great Grandma. It will be a very quick trip. Happy Easter!

We're gearing (or should I say packing?) up for a quick trip down to Wyoming. Stopping in to look at another house tonight and then Easter dinner with my family tomorrow since they have to work on Sunday. And, hopefully we can have some Easter fun on Sunday before we head back. My sister and her family will be in town, so I am very excited to see them all again. All the grandbabies in the same place...we haven't had that since September!

From our family to you and yours, Have a Happy and Blessed Easter!

Fiona's First Haircut!

After tons of bribing and many, many crusty looks from Fiona, she took her turn in the hairdresser's chair. We had battles daily when trying to get a comb through it, so we decided to trim it up a bit and see if that helped. I think that she liked it!
Macy had a trim job done on her's also, but Myles has to wait until after Easter. I want some curls in his hair for those photos!

Our new girls!

Circus Times TWO

We went to the circus last Thursday with Macy and a group of families from school for a birthday party, and went back yesterday with Daddy. I remembered my camera for the second trip, so here's some of the fun for you all to enjoy. We had sugar overload going when we left, but the kids had a great time. I think that the treats must have been their favorite part though.

Myles did fall asleep. I guess that the heat in that place mixed with a very short nap helped enduce this nap.Stuart getting his light up sword thingy. He chose this while the girls picked the snowcones!

And, what good is a circus without cotton candy? My kids sure did endulge themselves!

Stu did not want me to take his picture, so I snuck this one!

Miss FeeBee has some other news to share, but I need to get the pictures off of Grady's phone first....
Good Ole Sticky Fingers....

Baby wipes were a must and a lifesaver!
We worked on the house a bit more today and republished some photos on that blog and went for a few walks. Hope you all had a great weekend!
